Marteleron has developed an innovative, high-speed registry that would enable businesses and/or individuals to subscribe to Internet-based communication services without changing their pre-existing phone numbers.

An obstacle for companies presently wishing to integrate Internet-based communication services into their businesses is the requirement to change their established carrier-issued numbers to phone numbers issued by the new provider. Otherwise, they must pay a termination fee along with a maintenance charge to have the old number ported to a LEC, which must then forward the number to the new provider. The same applies to individuals wishing to keep using the number issued by their carrier in order to receive Internet-based calls.

IPJunction^® overcomes this obstacle, allowing enterprises and individuals to keep their present numbers, which would continue to be managed by the carrier of their choice for PSTN related services, while non-PSTN telephony services could be managed by the new provider.
